In conjunction with the Kingswood Congregational Church, St Mary's has focused its giving on a number of organisations, helping both local people in need as well as those living in some of the poorest regions of the world. Together, the Churches have raised thousands of pounds for these charities. |

Children in Need supports a huge range of projects across the UK. Every November, we organise an event to support their work, for the last few years this has been held at and with the support of the Dinneywicks. | |
The Children's Society helps to fight child poverty and neglect, and help to give all children the chance of a better life. It offers a network of services for vulnerable children, and has a policy team that responds to government proposals, providing briefings and suggesting solutions for government implementation. Look out for our Chistingle Service on the first Sunday of Advent, in support of them. |

The Stroud District Foodbank has been in operation since December 2011 offering food, toiletries and household supplies for anyone in crisis in the Stroud District. It operates a number of drop-ins that also provide signposting and support to help people find a way to escape their crises. There is a Foodbank Collection point in the porch at St Mary's. We also organise a reverse Advdent Callendar, and collect a wheelbarrow full of food at the Carols on the Chipping. |

Today some of the world’s poorest and most marginalised people don’t have access to safe water to drink, decent toilets or hygiene. Without these basics, overcoming poverty is just a dream. But when a well is dug or a tap stand installed in a community, everything changes. WaterAid has teams in 37 countries across the world, working with partners to transform millions of lives every year by improving access to safe water, toilets and hygiene. Every July we organise an Open Air Service helping some of the poorest communities in the world. |
